Over several months in 2024, I visited almost all of the dog parks in Massachusetts…
Massachusetts has the most parks of all the New England States, clocking in at over 130 areas designated as dog parks. Other “dog friendly spaces” were not counted in the survey.
Cities, like Boston, Worcester, Somerville, Cambridge, and a few others have multiple parks, but most towns only have one park.
In the map below, the towns with visited parks are marked in yellow. Parks which have not yet been visited are marked in green, and towns which are in the process of building a dog park have been marked in blue.
Although I did manage to visit MOST of the dog parks in Boston – hence the yellow designation, there are two parks that I have been unable to get to – Bremen Street Dog Park and RUFF Richmond Street.
