Dog Parks in Maine

Maine involved some of the furthest travel – and I still have not been able to get to all of the parks in the state. It has also been one of the most frustrating states to actually FIND the parks. Google frequently has the wrong information on the location of the park (in many cases, the location for access to the park was wrong.)

Last weekend, I tried to visit a few parks that had popped up in my searches of southern Maine – but I was 0 for 3 on those visits.
The Berwick Bark Park appears to have been discontinued. The fence is (mostly) still there, but there is a house next to it, and the gate has a “private property” sign.
The Cape Arundel Cottage Preserve Dog Park MIGHT exist, but if so, it’s behind a gated community and I was unable to even get close enough for pictures.
The Riverton Dog park (Portland) appears to be a sports field that allows dogs on it – so not an actual dog park, despite the google entry (and the google address is completely wrong.)
(I should note that I am only targeting park spaces that are actually designated as a “dog park” – not “dog friendly parks”.)

Never-the-less, with the exception of two parks up in towns near the Canadian border (Millinocket and Presque Isle), Maizey and I have visited all of the parks from York to Bangor over the past 8 months.
